About Us

Richard Feltes is Senior Vice President and Director of Commodity Research at MF Global. Prior to MF Global's IPO and name change in July 2007, Rich initiated Man Financial's first in-house Commodity Research Department. He previously directed commodity research at Refco for 21 years.

Earlier in his career, Rich worked at Continental Grain Company for 11 years, first as a cash merchant and then as a senior crop scout responsible for estimating North and South American crop production. Rich has authored numerous special reports and webcasts on grain/oilseed price direction and is featured regularly by the Chicago Board of Trade as a guest commentator following USDA crop reports.

He received an Award of Merit from Illinois' College of Agriculture in 2007 for professional achievement and service to his community and the University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Commodity Markets Council. Rich earned a B.S. in Agricultural Industries from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Southern Illinois University.


Nick Kalivas is Vice President of Financial Research for MF Global. Nick specializes in the fundamental and technical analysis of fixed income futures and equity indices. He provides market insights and strategies to account executives and financial institutions.

In addition to his duties as an analyst, Nick authors the Intraday Financial Market Blog on the MF Global Research website. He has written numerous research papers on financial market topics and has over 20 years of experience analyzing the impact of economic and political trends on market pricing. Nick taught market analysis to institutional traders during the early 1990s, and has developed a tutorial on the principles of hedging.

He graduated with a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Economics, Finance, and Statistics.


Tom Pawlicki is the Precious Metals and Energy Analyst at MF Global. He provides daily written commentary for MF Global Research and verbal commentary for the firm's MarketVoice product. He also provides market strategies to account executives and financial institutions.

Prior to assuming his current dual role as metals/energy analyst, Tom provided technical research on debt, equity, and currency markets for 12 years.

Tom attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received a B.S. in Finance.


Jessica Hoversen is the Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange Analyst at MF Global, where she is responsible for statistical and macroeconomic analysis of U.S. fixed income futures and G-10 foreign exchange markets. In addition to generating trade recommendations, Jessica also produces daily text and audio analysis on the interest rate and currency markets.

Prior to joining MF Global in 2007, Jessica spent three years trading electronic markets in equity, interest rate and currency futures at the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange for RDC Trading.

She graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University with degrees in Economics, Finance and Dance. Jessica completed her M.A. in Economics from DePaul University, graduating with honors.
